Default Live scope vs spot lock

Would like to purchase both, but only can afford one at this time. Which one should I purchase first, which offers the most bang for the buck? Would like to hear some opinions out there. Have been with friends that had spot lock, but never experienced live scope. Old enough to remember getting our first flasher and how much that changed our outlook and success with fish catching.

I am kind of in the same boat. I have spot lock, but the first generation of it and it's not that great. Still, I use it all the time and I wouldn't want to go without it. Most guys seem to use both.

There are a lot of good used trolling motors out there, too. Can save a lot of money that way.

Livescope. Spot lock is nice no doubt but Livescope is the real deal.

If you have live scope do you have a separate arm for the transducer that you can aim at what you want to see or is it mounted to trolling motor? I use an 80 pound thrust Motor guide on my 20' boat and a 70 pound thrust Minn Kota on my 17' aluminum, both five speed.
