Just got my two ACC 11’ jigging rods in. Ready to put them to use this weekend. Pretty green! Lol

Every morning while drinking coffee I'm shopping Crappie stuff. I thought that's what we are supposed to do in retirement.

No cabin fever here I'm still fishing every weekend. I'm still helping with stimulating the economy. About $250 every weekend In just gas and redbulls. I have about 4 hour round trip to go fishing. My boat, boat trailer and truck look like a salt lick. I can't wait to give them a bath. Crappie got slow so I'm looking for walleye. Crappie gear is still with me just in case I run over a school.

BUT I’m fishing all winter long.
And they say bass fishing was expensive !!!
Wish I could sell all my bass stuff.
Done chunking and winding for the green carp.
Thinking about giving it all away to a 16 year old boy that fishes tournaments with his dad. Both friends of mine. Last count was over 50 bait casters with various action rods.

Green carp! LOL that made me laugh! That’s awesome you’re thinking about helping the youngster. My uncle gave me all his ultralight stuff which got me into trout fishing. It all starts somewhere!

Rather than actually crappie fishing, I've been buying stuff for crappie fishing.

In the past 30 days, I've bought:

Simms Challenger Insulated Coat and Bibs
    Dub-l-Seat T-Bars
    Huckabee Phantom 13' Rod
    Bone Stix 13' Rod
    3x Daiwa Tatula Flipping Reels
Some Lone Star jigs and G-Daddy Baits

And today I ordered a Regal Vise and a bunch of supplies to tie my own jigs.

If I don't get out fishing soon, I'm going to go broke!

Anyone else have this sort of a problem this time of year?
This reminds me of a line from a fellow I know whose comment on sales was “I’m saving so much money I’m going broke”! A classic!

Starting to paint jig heads. I've got some new colors to try. Metallic fingernail polish various shades. Also have 2 metallic nail polishes that change color with sunlight. I'm starting with a flat white base coat......and yes, I have cabin fever. Likely March before I try to fish.

As for going broke, I bought a Garcia Revo SX 6.6:1 retrieve and a 6ft 8in St Croix medium action extra fast tip. I often bass fish in the morning and change to crappie around 10am

Supposed to be nice here in N.C. on Thursday & my kayak has been calling, saying it forgets what water tastes like. I'm gonna fix that by taking the day off work and playing hooky.

I got a few Bass Pro/ Cabela's gift cards for my birthday and Christmas. I just haven't decided what to use them on yet.
