Man if you make me pick just one it would be the Huckabee Phantom 13. With the longer rod even in deeper water you can drop more times on each fish/spot as you pull up to each fish/spot if you come in at a good angle. And at the end of day that will get more big fish in the boat. But I have jig fished since way before Livescope and always preferred a 10-11ft rod so I still use the 10.5ft Huckabee Elite a lot. Especially in muddier or deeper water. Like I said earlier, a lot of nice rods these days but the Huckabee models feel more sturdy swinging bigger fish than some of the other popular models/brands mentioned, especially in the reel seat area. But best to get your hands on one to see what you think, they aren’t for everyone. I went to Grizzly Jig twice and handled about every rod in there before I came off the cash to try my first Huckabee. I now own 5 and probably add two or three more this year. I can tell you also from personal experience that Ken, the owner, will stand behind his products and take of any problems if something isn’t right. One rod I bought had a very minor flaw and I sent him pictures. He told me to keep the one that had the flaw as a back up and immediately mailed a new rod to replace it. And no I am not sponsored in any way. Just one crappie gear junkies experience.
