There are a lot more things to read and see on this site, if you click onto the Fishing Forums link up above. Then scan down it to see what interests you. Also click on your state site, and make a post introducing yourself there. Things happen on those pages, that aren't posted on the main page.

If you want to talk politics, you can only do it on the Way Off Topic forum, and will need to PM Slab or a super moderator to get the password.

Beware, when asking questions about fishing gear and the like, that some could have you spending more money than you can afford, lol. What ever gets a line in the water, is foremost important, to wetting a line, and getting a bite.

Welcome to the wonderful world of crappie fishing, and Crappie.com

All of us are here to help you in your pursuit, of catching those elusive crappie.

Thx for this post and this site. I’m really enjoying it. I am mostly a newbie to crappie fishing - other than cane pole fishing when I was a kid.
I am just getting back into it. I like to bass fish and fly fish for trout.
This site is really helping me with my knowledge but it hasn’t paid off in the water yet. I am looking forward to the spring.

Good post, Keith. I see Slab put it up as a sticky in the Newbie section.

Like mentioned pay attention to the Alabama forum. I was like you a couple years ago. Only crappie fishing I had done was during the spawn with a cane pole. Everyone on the Bama page that I’ve reached out to for help have been more than willing to help. I actually fished with a fellow member this past Saturday and learned more in a few hours than I would have in my lifetime on my own.

That’s awesome man. Thx for sharing. Fishing is something I’ve done for a long time but each type of fishing has its own ways and special tactics.

It’s fun to start learning a new way with Crappie fishing. Maybe I can hook up with some of the Bama guys at some point and learn more. Thx
