I think lot of stores are having a hard time keeping inventory as to covid slowing or stopping production at some plants.

I’m in communications with lots of dealers and retail shops and most are having a hard time of getting product due to shipping being affected on both the West And East coast. Their manufacturers are shipping their orders but once it gets on the docks of the lock down states,,it sits in shipping containers for longer periods now before getting shipped directly to them. That’s the bottle neck issues of shipping and receiving especially if the products are made overseas.

It's not just fishing stuff, BPS owns way too many boat brands now too. BPS used to be an awesome superstore for fishing. Now, they just jack up prices and add no value.

Still don't know what's up in our area of SC. Dick's switched to only clothes and Academy sold off all their fish finders and removed their reel displays before Covid hit last year.

Interesting comment on Dick’s. I haven’t been in my local one for over 6 months but last trip they still had a nice size fishing section. I’m waiting a bit to see if they get in a spring shipment of stuff before I risk a trip.

The problem with store inventory and COVID is imports. Most of the stuff we buy comes from China.

Dang! I had their stock and sold at 8 bucks last year. Wish I would have kept it. It's at 17 now..

yeah dicks stores are useless if you want hunting or fishing supplies, they have turned them into clothing stores, now they are closing their field and stream store near me. getting harder to find things on hand , mail order is getting to be the only option around here sadly

Hit my local Dick’s today in Bucks. Clerk was stocking shelves and there was already a good bit of product to look at. He told me that particular store is going to expand space in the store for more tackle. Good sign product is coming in - not all stuff was Chinese.
