Default Best landing net under $150

EGO, Jenko, and Prox 300 seem to be popular. Would like rubber netting, compact, and extendable to at least 7-8’. I am not stuck on any brand, so please add if you have something different.

Ego reviews indicate a handle issue.

Jenko didn’t have a lot of feedback other than stating they liked them.

Prox reviews were excellent, but I can’t tell if netting is rubber and having a hard time figuring out where to buy them.

It is not what you do for your children, but what you have taught them to do for themselves, that will make them successful human beings.

The Prox netting is not rubber. You can buy a rubber basket net to replace the netting. The net material is made from silk worm gut and I have just not changed it out. Just kind of neat using a net made from silk worm. But I have to say you don’t want to use the net with cranks.....which I don’t use cranks so it is not an issue for me. What I love about the net is just how light and compact it is yet extends out to 10 feet. Here is a review of the net and a link in the description of where I bought it. Japan has many other brands of these types of nets also. If you check out some of my bank fishing videos this thing sure makes it easy. Since I only use 2 pound test actual break strength line a net is essential for me.

    Regards

It sounds like it is time for a small independent manufacturer to offer a fair priced net. I had plans to get a new small net this spring.
Now I know better than to even look.

I have used both EGO and Jen on. As I spider rig in the front with 16 foot poles I needed a net with a bit of reach. The EGO is a great net but need both hands to hold it. Jenco net is very light. I like it the best. I broke my handle in some trees hanging over the water as I was trolling by. It bent a lot before it snapped in two. I believe it has a rubber net and I push crankbaits. Haven't had any problems with it. I like the bend it has in the front, nice for slipping under a fish. I have had some large fish in it and held great.
