Default What am I doing wrong?

    Friends,

ive been unsuccessful locating crappie on my lake. I know they are supposed to be around timber and docks, but so far no luck with 1/16 jigs. Any key things you guys look for when you are targeting crappie this time of year? Thanks!

Probably the same thing I'm doing wrong. It's been a slow month. They are not in the slips in any numbers nor are they at brush piles nor the bridge pillars. Fished 6 hours today, caught 2 keepers, 6 undersized crappie, 2 undersized white bass. The weather and wind were perfect, just could not get the few I found to bite. Located lots of bait balls in 12-18 ft of water but no predator fish around them.

Hopefully, somebody can tell both of us what we are doing wrong.

Learn what baitfish look like on your 93 sv. Find the baitfish and you will find the crappie. Fish your jigs slow. Smaller and slower is the rule in cold water.
