Default Something to think about in cold weather

I wear a vest type life jacket over my winter clothes when on the water. In warm weather I use my inflatable. I also keep a thermal blanket in my boat all the time. If you fall in even above freezing temperatures you can still get hypothermia. I also added a collapsible folding ladder to my boat. My life is to important take any chances.
I may be getting older but I refuse to grow up.

I've got a ladder to put on my new boat. There's no way I could get back in that deep thing if I fell out. I bought my son and I a floating ice fishing suit last year. Warmth was one reason, but safety was another. We still wear our life jackets with them.

I used to fall in all the time duck hunting,,,I learned that generally the water temperature is warmer then the outside air anyway,,,so I would usually just stay in the water until my waders warmed the water and I was good for a few hours,,,,,I hardly ever even got cold,,,lol

Me too but I keep a complete change of clothes, jacket, towel, and shoes in one of those bags that you suck the air out with vac. Doesn't take up much room in the boat.
