I like craft fur myself; it is quite durable. As for colors my go to is char. green.
I would like to have a few hair jigs to experiment with in the spring. I have never used hair jigs before as I have always used plastic. I’m looking to you guys for recommendations on brands and best colors.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Richard

A simple marabou-and-chenille jig is all you need. (It's feather, not hair.) All of the big box stores carry them, and there are members here who tie them.

Agree marabou jigs are still well made. Get some White and some chartreuse. Add a crappie nibble or some slab sauce.
Limits tackle makes some nice hand ties as well!

I've used coyote and raccoon tails too to imitate crawdads with good results.
Arkie Shinee Hinee and Pico Bunny Butts are good.
