Default The New land of 3 lbers .....

A bud went somewhere other than Mississippi in pursuit of a 3 lb crappie .
took a few days off he did and hit 3 smaller lakes with some kinda quiet tips .
He only got up to 2.75 lbs . before he had to come home .
and one at 2.68 as well ....
Said he could see lots bigger fish on his livescope .
said they just wouldnt cooperate .
i wont go tossing out state names or lakes because that just aint right in the circles i run in .
but to be sure there are in fact big fish to be had in other states too .
keep your jigs wet my friends and your rod bent on fish lips
    KABOOM is the word
just a quick fyi on the pursuit

I, for one, appreciate you integrity bud. I’ve had it go the other way more than once. Hope you get a chance to go there with him one day.

"Bee" from Maine is my hero. I want to be just like him when I grow up. Between Bee and Nimrod the crappie don't stand a chance.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

California seems to have some monsters lurking as well .
wonder where the real sleeper lakes are ...i know one here in Texas ....
the guy i mentioned in this post just talked with me just last night about it ....
said he figured i might know something about that lake ....
i said oh yeah i do , been there a few times ...fish over 2 aint rare there ....
fish over 3 there are quite possible ,to bad its a bit of a drive for me with a reduced amount of time to do it .

I can't imagine 3 pounder! I doubt I'll ever see one of those in these parts. Good luck.

I’ve caught 2 in my 32 years fishing Kentucky lake but none since 2015. They’re even rarer here in Pennsylvania.
