    Female crappie start to develop eggs for the following year not too long after spawning. So, this time of the year egg development is well along for the spawning season next spring.

    True. In this neck of the woods the spawn is only 90 days away.

    they will start the spawn here in just about 60 days in Feb , on the big moon
    and to be sure that is fact
