Default MY NEW PERSONAL BEST !

Let me start off by saying maybe ....
I think its my personal best this year i am pretty sure .
    I topped 300 crappie in a single trip !
My bud topped 300 as well !
Of course he is a guide and we spent 6 hours on the water.
None the less it was sling festival beyond compare as of late .
First fish came before he even got in his kayak .
we stayed steady as a big oak tree on them the entire trip .
the mix was just about split down the middle on black and white crappie .
so when you go off and think there aint no way this guy could ketch more than 10,000 crappie a year .
to be sure it can be done
i have managed more than 600 in 3 trips myself this week alone .
it was hard on my old bones i must admit
i only been in a kayak twice in my life after crappie .
i was in a real nice kayak though .
it was a Hobie compass pedal drive .
the water temp was 49 and the fish were in less than 6 feet of water .
the entire 3 miles of river we hit was loaded up with them .
we did managed to ketch a few other fish by accident as well .
    sometimes i used a float
    sometimes i pitched a bit
sometimes i dipped it right beside the kayak .
My success rate on this trip was BECAUSE ...
i wore my crappie.com ballcap and way underneath my layers a crappie.com t shirt
if you are around dfw anytime soon and want to go on a guided yak trip all inclusive .
pm me and i will give you my buds info .
    KABOOM is the word yawl
p.s. we let them all swim on .....

that unit i was in ,is EXPENSIVE ! but to be sure it is ALL that ....
forward and reverse on the pedals easily with a red and green shifter .
will fly thru the water fast with almost no effort ...
steers like a dream as well .
the flippers and rudder fold up automatically on obstructions and redeploy as soon as you pass over it .
i hear you can buy them used for around 1200 ....
and YES sir it was ridiculous good fun trip .
kinda makes me kinda want one ....
dry weight of ONLY 60 lbs is nice too

Years ago (early 70's) me and my dad found crappie in a creek near Tawakoni that was thick with fish. We caught so many crappie we had to use our shoe strings for stringers. We were in a old 12ft jon boat and we had fish up to our boots. I was around 13 years old and remember stocking up the neighborhood with crappie. It was a day I will never forget.

Yup that weight is an advantage. My native Titan is a beast but it’s sturdy, I sit up higher and instant reverse, just pedal forward or reverse. Also I like the fact that they are made in North Carolina which is my state. I’ve called and talked to the head people several times and customer service is good. Many good kayak options out there now.

we were both thankful we didnt keep the 50 we were allowed .
and like my bud told a guy we met leaving , we would have been done in under an hour if we did .
a creek/river full of them stacked up like that is just about impossible to imagine .
and when we went to the north end there were magnum sandbass mixed in with them as well .
the southern downsteam area was just about 100 % crappie .
sure did get my hands beat down good , i got cuts gouges scratches and they just now warmed back up
