Default Wally Marshall AKA Mr Crappie

A few weeks ago, one of my kids stepped on my 10ft jig pole and broke it about a foot or so from the tip, so I called the customer support number for Mr Crappie, and I was shocked when Mr Crappie himself answered the phone. I explained to him what happened, and he had me reach out to a gentleman at Lews who replaced my rod tip at no charge. I can't express how thankful I am for the replacement tip, and I will most definitely buy more Mr Crappie gear.

Any way you can post the number you called. I have the same problem but can’t blame anybody but myself.
    Thanks

Default Wally Marshall AKA Mr Crappie

I’ve known Wally for a long time. Prolly over 20 years now. Anyway, I’ve always known him to be a great guy with a passion for crappie fishing. Always willing to help and talk to anyone about fishing. Always makes time for fisherfolks. A stand up guy for sure, and here’s a wonderful example. Thanks for sharing.

    Here’s his direct line

One of the Guys I'm helping learn to crappie fish had a problem with one of Mr. Marshall's rods and called CS for help. Mr. Marshall answered the phone, directed my Guy who to get in touch with, and as stated above it was taken care of immediately. I wrote an email thanking the Mr Crappie company for the fast assistance and received a call from Mr. Marshall himself. I am retired from the industry and know numerous sales reps meeting them thru NBS, Sports Inc trade shows. In all my years I have never seen the personal service that Mr. Marshall gives his customers. We are not just customers but FANS NOW! I have switched as many of my plastics to Strike King, Bought 10 LEWS either SOLO's or Signature Series Wally Marshall rods. And the 23in redfish I posted on the 4# line thread was caught on Mr. Crappie 4# CAMO line. I use his line saltwater fishing too. I recently cut 6in off the EVA handle of one of my 14ft Signature Series rod handles, shortening it enough to allow my shoulder to hang straight and keep my index finger on the beginning of the blank. The sensitivity now is off the charts for a 14ft rod. Made me put my BGJP 14 footers up. (They are cut down too) The Lews rod, in 3 hrs, put 37 in my box day before yesterday single poling and gave over 2 dozen more a sore mouth. I would like to thank the thread starter for this thread too, as it is just the place to tell Mr. Marshall, THANK YOU!

I've had the same experience with Mr Crappie. He answered the phone one day a few years ago when I needed a part. Just don't call him a legend.
