running away from the stress of everyday life .
were the some of the leaves bigger than the fish in that creek ?....YES
was it a beautiful day ? YES
were the little fish frisky and colorful you might ask ? YES
was it relaxing and fun and good for my soul ....YEPPERS
watching the float go down every cast is about as good as it gets for me

it was without any doubt a trophy leaf . might have been a record of some sort .
in a leaf tournament i would have had BIG leaf covered for sure
heck i barely landed it ,had just in the paper part of the edge .
i wish i had a net when i seen it coming in and just hoped for the best

Nice pics. Keep em com'n !

Finesse spike tails are one of my favorite quiver tails. No matter how still you hold the lure or when used under a float bobbing in a light breeze, fish take it as a dare to their territory striking it like few other lures with tail shapes that must move faster up & down or horizontally. In the past I used it ice fishing with great success.
