According to the ad in the first post ... the transducer is $1500 (basically the same price as the Livescope black box & transducer )

According to the ad .... no, and that's one of the selling points.

Can't wait to see what they have to offer.....
I'm in no rush to replace my ole core units as they get the job done......
Are you running live scope currently?
    Yes and two core units

I spoke with Russell Marine on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week.
Not able to take pre-orders yet.
He said he has received a couple of the new units but nothing bigger than 9 inch.
Also told me when he is able to take pre-orders you will have to pay entire price up front. Not like putting your name on a list and waiting. Couldn稚 advise when the pre-order time will be.
I知 waiting until a video is released to see the image.
    I知 in also on Humminbird.

A buddy does this on his pontoon. He left the heading sensor on, mounted the life scope, points the unit at his brushpile and sets coarse navigation. that way the unit always points at teh brushpile, even if the pontoon is moving in the wind. The TM with spot lock holds his position. the TM with livescope always points toward the brushpile. Slick set up.

So i just did online chat with hummingbird which turned out to be useless. Not as knolegeable as with all the units and was asking the difference between the mega and mega+,it states on their website the live imaging will work with the helix GN3 and 4 and out beside says with mega + so i asked which helix units it would work with and he directs me to a link which shows only the HELIX 8 CHIRP MEGA + GPS GN4. My ? is does anyone know helix units are compatable?

All Mega DI+ and SI+ G3N and G4N is what the releases are saying and what has been posted by some members posting on BBC forum that have chatted with HB. From time to time, you may get hold of someone filling in on HB Support that is not as knowledgeable. With it being so new and no field testers or fishing pros having it yet, nothing is a proven fact on anything about Mega Live yet, so we will just have to wait it out for facts.

Russell Marine Products is taking pre-orders on Mega Live transducer now.
    1499.00 up front.
I知 waiting until SOMEBODY has images before I give 1499.00 for something unknown.
If it is what Humminbird says I値l be all in!!!!
    Otherwise I値l stick with Garmin.

Cheating? Doubt that. It's a legal product and if it's allowed to use in tournament, it's legal. It's legal to use on the lakes as far as I know. As far as I am concerned if a person is following the laws and using electronics in tournaments as well as fun fishing in a legal manner that's not cheating.

If you accuse folks of cheating on a public forum I think you should offer proof.

I don't think I'm tuning in your You Tube Channel anymore.
