been thinking about taking a trip with my wife and 14ft aluminum boat fishing for crappie, probably will be after the holidays around end of feb, so i am looking for some suggestions on where to go that time of the year for crappie, trying to keep the trip within 600miles one way. i am at zip 18705, can i achieve this and catch a good abundance of crappie, i do not have a livescope but a regular Garmin unit.

Head south towards North Carolina. Good winter fishing in that area.

boatloads of crappie were had long before livescope came into play my friend .
as far as where to go i am clueless on that part of the world
but i do know that the carolinas have some BIG black crappie
