I have no idea - it’s a big debate in my family - I had a trip last week where unpainted no eyes outfished the colored eyeballs by a mile

It's all about what you have confidence in. I paint and glue eyeballs on my jigs because I enjoy doing it. I don't know if it makes a difference or not but it's the method I use.

I think it does matter sometimes, but not as often as some folks think. I think the size of the bait matters more. Oh, I believe a little flash works too, it's not a color, but scales make a flash, and silver or gold Mylar incorporated into a jig definitely can help. IMHO

Here's what we've learned. They matter a lot to some and a little to others, and we still don't know what the fish think.

Unpainted heads only. No point causing a distraction from the lure unless I want it to appear longer.

Bet they would work without eyes, but they do look like a nice addition if only for a bit of attention getting contrast. Nice wraps BTW.
