    Default Retrieving a sunken rod&reel

Took a spill today and lost one of my favorite rods. I know within a 10 ft circle of where it is. Any tricks or tools that I can use rather than luck.

Know any divers in your area?

Alot depends on how deep the water is and if there is any junk on bottom. If the bottom is fairly clean, a drag made from rebar would probably work.

6 to 8 foot deep. Bottom is fairly clean. It's about 15 ft on the high side of a blowdown. Pretty sure bobber and fish are wrapped up in the top. Current is relatively calm.

Get you an old metal fish stringer...open up all the hooks....tie on a cord and start throwing and dragging. I've recovered a few over the years doing this.

This will work. It just takes a little patience at times. I've used 2 or 3 treble hooks so it covers different depths.
