close to 16 inches , I tossed it on the boat's catfish ruler because i was bit interested myself .

so many like it came over the side that trip that it was a case of glad i tossed my whale killer rod in the boat .
i switched over to it when the first 14 inch came up and they were in the real fight mode .
i almost actually got pulled out of the boat by a huge crappie that pulled off on the surface at our second stop.
i got 2 witnesses to it and it was past a struggle a good bit . i thought it was gunna break my medium heavy 7 foot rod .
bent it like a cheap noodle stick and the lews reel was a SCREAMING !
