From Minnesota to Florida it sounds like, I'm a average single pole fisherman at best, & the ice blue w/ball at the end of the tail, puts fish in Da' boat down here...
I use them in northern Minnesota and catch all species. Happy, Happy, Happy.

crappie down !
They work all the time, anywhere.
Will not go without "Patriot" on a pink head . Usually buy them 10 packs at a time . Anytime I do not have chartreuse and something on it will be this or a blue/white "Joker ".
I started using plastics about 3 years ago when good minnows became hard to get. The one thing that has really impressed about the Baby Shad the Crappies seem to inhale the bait as opposed to a jig and minnow. Can't wait to try them jigging thru the ice .

BG Baby Shad`s here too, I have learned to get the most out of them using a light 1/32 ounce jig when rigged right ( straight and centered ) when they fall on slack line with lite jigs they will rock back and forth, that motion can be a killer. Up here in the Nort land Vegas is our most used color.
Bobby Garland Baby Shad's are the best baits IMHO. As mentioned a few times blue ice is really good. The glow colors however are lethal. Screamer and Twilight are awesome. Don't forget to have Bayou Booger in your tackle. The silver belly on that is a really nice touch.
Awesome thank you. In theory - would it catch crappie on a lake with no shad?

Thank you friend! Do you think it is too big for black crappie 6-9 inches?
