Default Long lining in late evening or at night?

Anybody have any experience with it? Been slowly working on my long line setup. But with the time change this weekend any after work daylight is limited or non-existent so I was wondering if it is at all productive?

I don't know why it wouldn't be ... some member friends of mine Spider Rig at night & seem to do well. Then again, don't Crappie normally head to cover at night, from out in open water ?? I don't Longline Troll, so I'm going on what I've heard & not personal experience.

I have been curious about this myself but I've never tried it and I have really thought about trying to pull cranks at night when it's cooler and no other boats to deal with.

I've done it one time in the spring. It was quite successful. We were shallow, catching fish in 3-5 FOW. We had our baits running around 1' deep. We used black curl tailed jigs. It was really fun, I don't know why I haven't done that again. If you were fishing deep I think it would be easy to stay in a mess all the time once you have a hook up. We had no issues with that fishing shallow.
