Got the call to head back to work today. Decided to put muffs on and at least crank...battery won’t support a load. So my first upgrade will be a battery. Was planning on pulling the trigger on a Terrova or Ultrex and a couple of Garmin units this week. On the plus side I have a couple of weeks to debate on what I want.

Ordered a Terrova today. Waiting on more information on the Garmin UHD 56 transducer. Going to order two Garmin 93 Echomap SVs, but need to se what’s going on with the 54, prices seem to be falling.

Looks great! I have the Terrova on my RT178C and it works great. I've never seen a live scope unit/mount. Do you have to buy a different graph/sonar unit for the live scope transducer?

Yes, the unit has to be a Garmin : Panoptix LiveScope is compatible with Garmin's GPSMAP 8400/8600 multifunction displays, GPSMAP 7400/7600, GPSMAP 10X2/12X2, GPSMAP 10X2/12X2xsv Touch and GPSMAP 7X2/9X2 series chartplotters, and the ECHOMAP Plus 7Xcv/7Xsv/9Xsv chartplotter/sonar combo series.

Definitely look at Garmin's site for compatible units, for both the livescope and each other. You can share transducers and etc. with the ethernet or GMS10 switch, depending on which units you have and what you are using as a transducer. Garmin told me the UHD units would share waypoints with the blue and brown wires, but it isn't working for me and I believe the online manual say that it doesn't work either. However, mine weren't sharing even with the ethernet cable connected. Garmin representative said it was probably because each had different software, but I have little confidence in that.
