It's a decent rod.....Does it catch me more fish the the other rods I have, No. It's not my real goto rod either. When I was young I didn't understand the differences between the types of rods and just fished with what I had in my hand at the time and caught fish. Now that I understand them and spend money trying to get the "Perfect' rod for each type of fishing I still find myself after 10 minutes of thinking about it when I first start fishing to just fishing with the one I picked up.

As long as it's in the class of rod I am looking to use (jigging, casting, trolling) and in the correct ballpark of light, medium or heavy weight, I'll be fine with it on any given day. A wet noodle of course is not acceptable and wouldn't even be in the boat.

YMMV, best thing I can say is go to store and put one in your hand. It's the only real way to compare it to what you are using now to see if it will fix what you feel is missing in your current rod.

I'll probably buy three or four more rods over the winter looking for the elusive best rod out there because, well, that's part of the fun of fishing!

I have one, had it for perhaps 5-6 years. I have the 5'6" UL. I consider it a very nice rod and but probably would not replace it with another if I should happen to break this one. Paid 110 for it. I believe it was made in Mexico; only their upper end rods are actually made here in the USA, if I'm not mistaken and if that point is important to you.
I feel more comfortable with a more economical rod these days and believe I catch just as many fish with them as I do the higher priced ones like the Panfish. Joy of ownership is real, that's for sure. Like FishguyMN above, it's not my reach for rod on most trips. I do use it but this year I've purchased 3 more rods.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.

Thanks for the reply! I have a 6ft UL field and stream rod rn and I live it except when I am using a bobber, it has an awful hooksrt, but for jigs it is perfect (which is what I mainly use anyway). I’ll probably just end up going to dicks/DSG to puck a new one. thanks!
