    Default New lure.

Got a new custom pour plastic from a local guy today (Instagram @hella.fishy.baits). It looks really good for those Slab coming this spring. I talked to the guy and have him poured me custom color, pearl white and yellowish sandworms. I tried this right away, hoping some crappie still around, didn’t find any crappie but this bass wanted the sandworms really bad. It was fun landing this 2.5lb bass on 7’3 UL rod and Vanford 2000. I can see this “sandworms” will catch me new PB this spring.

I guess he is not into mass production, just some guys that pour his own bait. I think he has a few sell on the shelf at some local stores. I know him via Local Fishing forum and since he lives down in San Diego about 1.5hr drive, I contact him via Instagram and have him make a couple run of the color I want. I think all the baits I got plus cost of shipping, he didn’t make a dime. So bottom line is I got the bait with color I want that works and he has fun making it.
There are many others that pour their own, make a wonderful, realistic color and once awhile sell their creative to fund another project. It the work of love not just to make money, I believe.

It sort of looks like a centipede to me, except tapered.

Those would be a knockout for smallmouth in a brownish color. Nice work.

Would greatly appreciate sharing the source if you don't mind. Got just the right colors to make them in - none of the white.
