    Default Jigging pole reel

Of you jiggers using a casting rod... which reel do you use. My 30 yr old Shimano finally laid down and passed. Need a replacement but not real keen on the $15 mini reels. Its for my 12' BnM casting style.

Pretty sure if I had a Shimano that long and liked it I would find another Shimano just like it. But on my true "Jigging" pole 10ft I have a Mr. Crappie Solo. Wouldn't want anything but. Now on my 8 ft ML that I cast with and sometimes jig with I have small Presidents.

For just true jigging really doesn't matter....your just storing line.....now if you going to cast it a small spinning reel that balances with the pole is what you need....whatever one your pocket book will allow.

Wish I could find one just like it. When the Shimano Bantam 100 came out I bought 5. Down to 1 now that still operates like new.

Well I've got 8 or 20 spinning reels laying around doing nothing. I could throw one on there. I'm old school though G. Casting rods need casting reels and spinning rods need spinning reels.
