    I say no too. I am very thrifty/cheap, and I say a boat motor needs to be reliable almost as much as an airplane engine. You may be able to find a good kyak from a rental place to get you on the water cheap, but fishing from one takes some experience, experience, and exercise.

    Good advice and true. A day on the water can go south really quick when your motor craps out!
