Is there a video any where, explaining how it works, and the person using it? Can the blue tooth be shut off when not in use? Is it rechargeable, or do you replace batteries? Am surprised that no one has asked these questions. Would want to know more, before considering them.

This specific rod does not have Bluetooth. I fixed the link on my first post. It automatically filled in the text used for the link and it included "Bluetooth" because that page also discusses their Bluetooth Reel technology. The rod I'm talking about here is their SLAB HUNTER 10 Footer, which does not have bluetooth. It simply beeps and flashes when it detects a bite. It's battery is supposed to last years btw. Anyway, they do have reel bite sensing technology that detects a bite as well, and it does have bluetooth, and will notify you on your smart phone. Crazy stuff. They provided me a sample I'll try at some point and let y'all know about it as well. It's a larger reel though, not necessarily something I'd use for Crappie. But I do plan to use it here at the house where I'm 30 yards from my canal, and will try for catfish, while watching TV! How cool will that be, get a notification on my phone that I got a bite!
