Want to try new Crappie rod

I am wanting a new Crappie rod. I hav couple of the BnM Sam Heaton 7’ spinning rods. Now I know rods are like ice cream, some like chocolate and some like vanilla. Not badmouthn these rods but there a little buggy whippy for me.
I want a 7’6”ish spinning rod, will use 4lb line. I want ML action rod for some backbone with an Xtra fast tip. Prefer cork. Would only consider a lightwt rod
Lets consider rods in the $150 and under range.
100 mi to a bass Pro and last time I was there selection of Spinning rids in this criteria were minimul.

I love my old Tica 7 footer ,not sure if the new version/model is like it , but to be sure that 7 I have is ALL that .
but as stated what is golden in your hand might not be in mine , or vice versa

i have an old proto type 7 in another brand that is really pretty nice and fits your criteria
but i dont think the manufactured for the general public version of it today is anywhere close to it .
if you drop to 6 foot the BnM sharp shooter might be worth looking at , i held one at bass pro and almost bought it ...

Ugly stick makes a 7' deluxe. That has Cork handle ml action. I have never understand the fast tip action so I have no idea on that part. Loved mine. You gonna be hard pressed tho to spend that much money unless you buy 3 of them.

Couple of notes :

These rods have micro guides to the tip, with the exception of the gathering guide.
This particular length rod has the extended handle (some like, some don't).
These brand rods have graphite handles & reel ring grips ... a little tape can be used for extra insurance.
This rod is cheaper to purchase thru Grizzly Jig (if in stock). (that's assuming s/h is equal between the two outlets)

(FYI) I'm a former Field Tester for the ESP brand rods ... testing the 5'6" UL - the 6'6" PowerLite - the 9' PowerJig models.

I don't have any experience with other rods mentioned but I can vouch for crappiepappy's suggestion. A fishing client left me a 6' ESP rod for a tip. I didn't use it for a few years but once I did it quickly became my favorite. I can't imagine a better crappie rod for the price.

I have an Academy bought rod, 7’ light action and it works and balances well with a 1500 or 2000 series reel and slings a 1/16 a long ways on 4lb line. It’s a one piece rod, I believe it’s an All Star Brand rod. I gave $50 and use this rod both fresh and salt.

Look at the ACC Crappie Stix I've got 2 of the 7'6'' there great rods and if you want something stiff look at the Todd Huckabee line of rods I have a 11' I like it a lot to but it's pretty stiff except the tip and I never use a net with that rod.
