I sometimes cast with my B'n'M 10 ft Sam Heaton. It far and away outcasts my 6ft spinning rod

Walmart had their Sam Heaton Rods on sale I bought 2 9' rods for $9 a piece. Event though they say regular price take them down and get them scanned. I have bought several this way, $5 being the cheapest for BnM rods.

Wife needed to run by WalMart this evening so I went over to see if they had any of the Sam Heaton SS' in stock. Of course not, but I saw several of these Micro light 7' rods and remembered this post. I brought one home. It feels good in the hand. If it won't work with my little President reel, it will work with something!

I’ve been trying to find one of those Shakespeare micro light series 7’ light rods since Covid started. Sold out everywhere in that model. Either shorter rods or the ultra light rod but I’m wanting the light for a little stiffer rod. I’ll be patient and keep looking I guess.

Wal-Mart probably is your best chance. But my local tackle shop ordered a rod for me. Wasn't this one but it was exactly what I was looking for and $10 cheaper than BPS. Worth asking anyway.

I got to try mine out yesterday. With the President 20 on and some 4 lb casting mono, it really flings a light jig a long way. I'm very pleased. But that was testing at home, have not seen how it handles a fish yet.

Thanks to all, I ended up with Majorcraft Crostage 7’3 Mebaru rod 0.5-7 grams. I hope the rod is not too soft than my liking. This the closest I can find that match Majorcraft Nanoace which is out of stock at TW. Anyone has experience with this rod?

Awesome! I wish our Walmart has such deals. Around here, the fishing tackle isle is about 10' long at most. And they no long stock guns and very little ammo.
