    OK, i was getting confused, will be fishing from an aluminum 14ft boat, the name of the lake goes under 2 names, Alden Lake and Long pond lake it is about 4 miles from prompton dam here in the NEPA area near Honesdale pa, i don't know how big it is.

    Not a real big lake. You may have to have a trout license, since the state stocks them in this lake. You need to ask someone local about that. Possibly a bait store will know. It doesn't mention that it has crappie in it, but doesn't mean that they are not there.
