I use the BigT net and have the rubber head for it. Seriously a great net.

I like a net that has a removable hoop, so I can change the hoop size for different purposes.

When I was looking, Bass Pro had the best deal on rubberized nets. I think it's a gold series, telescoping handle. Was $29.99 or something like that.
Hooks will still catch in a rubber net, but they don't get all wrapped up and snagged on the barbs like a regular mesh.
I bought a rubber net/w frame (short handle from Bass Pro) for $14. Took handle off old paint roller, which has threaded handle for attaching extendable painters pole. Inserted handle of net into roller handle. Gorilla glued. Stores easily, quick assembly. Home Depot extendable handle $10.

Got my Jenko big t and tried it out. Really like
Pros:
Super lite, 3 section handle, 12ft long, rubberized mesh, 0 hooks stuck in it.
Cons: $$, holds a lot of water

Rubber net for sure if you are fishing crankbaits. Yes they are heavier but you won’t have to deal with the hooks getting buried in the mesh all of the time.

I don't know if they still make them, but I had a rubber net. The mesh was made of rubber (or something similar). The "strands" of rubber were very thick compared to a string net and it didn't move through the water well at all. If you see one of those, avoid it. On the other hand, the rubber coated string mesh are great. The strands are thicker than just string but not a whole lot more. The rubber is better for the fish's slime coat (the uncoated ones damage the slime coat). The mesh moves through the water easier than the old rubber type.
Here is an example (though it looks like a thinner mesh than what I had) of the kind of mesh to avoid. Access Denied

Neither of the above nets are specifically being suggested, just and example of the mesh type you don't want vs the kind you do want. The rubber coating will help with the crankbait hooks too. Nothing is crankbait-proof, as you know
