    Default Not a livescope visit

But to be sure the little 197 bird chirps and shows me what I need to know at a glance .
Started slow , fish scattered , high up in the water column .
Finished HOT , fish decided to sit down some on a old dead head .
8 am to 10 30 am and they seemed to like the natural color best for me .
the other person used a pink and white really old slab bandit and hurt them with it .
crappie ketchn often consists of slow starts and hot finishes in some cases .
Figuring out what they are doing or where they are on a visit to the lake often takes a little time . First 3 stops produced a few fish but there didnt seem to be a pattern we could really dial up . Stop 4 the pattern was definitive and the fish were in numbers and biting well .
What was that on the graph you ask ? I am of the opinion we were seeing a thermocline with recent rain debris settled in it . now mind you this , i just guess alot and formulate my theories . the good news is this .....
it wasnt noticeable on spot number 4 and the fish were thru out the water column .kept a livewell full for the man to have with his family for dinner .
another thing you might notice is more than one fish hooked exactly the same way ? why might you ask ? Again i am not sure but i see it frequently on lots of good bites . there seems to be a way they want to take the bait that is often the same over and over .
thats the monday report and now off to another lake to see what might be up over there .
KABOOM is the word for sure
p.s. no that aint a prop wound , its a cormorant bite and i might also mention this .....
I REALLY DONT LIKE THEM BIRDS !

Nice haul. Good point about it taking a few stops to pattern them sometimes, especially with the weather and seasons changing.

When I started crappie fishing I had me and a paddle on the front of my boat. I would paddle from one tree to the next, testing each one for crappie. At the time I thought there were no crappie on the trees where I didn't get a bite. Now I know they are there, just laughing at my attempts to fool them. Not sure which was best, ignorance then or frustration now.

the lowrance hook something on the trolling motor is always on some odd settting and looks like some of that old 1960eez hippie artwork
its hard to tell what is going on down below with it , i seen that before on another boat and have no idea how anyone can make sense out of it ?
besides i dont visit the lake to look at electronics most of the time anyway ....
the little 197 on the console tells the story every trip and i think they are pretty inexpensive graphs and user friendly .
just turn it on and it does what a person needs to find fish ...
they ketchn part is up to the rod handler
