My right hand.

This thought started in my head today and I need to try to get it onto the screen for y’all. Let’s see how I do.

I do many things with my right hand. Being right handed it’s pretty busy as I go through the day. I point to people at distance to acknowledge and greet them. A simple greeting has value, knowing that someone else thought enough of you to say hello. Might not seem like much, but you don’t know what this day has brought them. I lay a hand on a shoulder of someone dealing with bad things in their life. That also speaks, the words no longer needed. I raise my hand to thank God for the day he has given me and the blessings I enjoy. Sometimes so busy that I forget to say the words. Sometimes I feel that hand on my shoulder to remind me that he works through others to give me comfort. I place my hand on my heart when I pledge allegiance to this great country we enjoy, or to give honor to someone that has given some, maybe all, in my behalf. I offer my hand to help do a task, we all know who told me to do that. Many have helped me in recent past, and more will in the coming days. And family holds special duty for that same hand as we connect to each other in thanks before meals. The young ones always reach for the hand of one of us for safety or comfort. A simple thing, just skin and bones, but the power it holds. Just some thoughts for you to ponder today. Imagine all that someone’s right hands did 19 years ago today, I’ll never forget.
