I'm 56 years old. If I didn't fish, I could have retired at age 50. I'll work a few more years. It's worth every penny I've ever spent!! The same goes for my hunting. Worth every penny!!

I quit counting a long time ago... when I discovered counting the cost(s) cause(s) anxiety and heart palpitations... since, I've just spent and fished exactly the way I want to.
I think I feel a whole lot better too.

I feel it is my obligation to keep as many tackle manufactures in business as I can. They have family to feed. The wife thinks I'm doing a VERY good job.

i used to get paid by the hour
i would decide if the equipment was worth how ever many hours at my job
the job was really hard work and that was my agenda
like hmmmm 80 bucks at 10 per hour is an entire day
unless of course we are working 10z or 12z ....

Have had 10 boats in 73 years of fishing broke even or made money on most. if you buy used boats right they end up not costing you when you sell. bought a nitro from a car dealer for 4000. sold 2 mos.later for 7500. didn't like it . 10th boat paid 1100. sold month later for 3000. didn't like it ,kept 9th boat . gas is my main cost. pull my boat with a 23 year old car with 250,000 miles. I guess that's why my friends call me tight. fishing my first crappie tournament in 2 days will find out if i have learned how to catch a crappie.

Not what I wish I could spend. Fishing has been the most enjoyable part of my life next to my relationship with Jesus Christ. The people I have met and experiences I have had are priceless.

Not as much as I'm getting ready to spend. Hit a submerged tree last Tuesday and bent my prop shaft on my mercury 20 horse. Makes a ching-ching sound even in neutral. Runs fine but that can't be good. Oh well. BOAT....Break Out Another Thousand.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can generally count on Paul's vote.
