I have two of this type Lews Laser HS rods and never had an issue but noticed this today in Walmart. Given how both were broke exact same spot I would assume happened in shipping or stocking. Buying from local Walmart you just never know how they were handled before purchasing.

Our Walmart’s up north don’t carry many name brand items I like using so I have to order on line. Sad that I can’t feel them before I buy them.

Does Lews own Mr Crappie rods? Was at Academy today and noticed Lews on the back of one of their rod packages.
I got a Mr Crappie rod and reel for Christmas and love it. The cast is so smooth and the reel is so light. I can cast all day and not tire out.

bought two 7 foot shakespeare rods at wally world and one lasted for a few months then broke, it was on sale for $10. went back and bought another one thinking it should last but it didn't last for a few dozen fish then broke. so had a gift card and bought crappie max 7 footer at BPS will see how that turns out.

anyone know when Academy will hold their big clearance sale this winter?

Academy has been pretty low on everything in the hunting and fishing areas , they might not have much to pick over this year
