How wide is the beam on the alumacraft (I'm seeing 6 inches narrower?)? I looked at that g3 at the boat show and layout is NICE! Tons of driver leg room is what I remember as well.

I would lean slightly toward g3 for layout, beam width, and vinyl. The alumacraft looks like bare metal which is a No No in texas.

    Exciting!

I appreciate everyone's input, but after seeing both, my choice became easy.
After checking both over I bought the G3 17PFX. Same hull as the 17'10". It was so clean, and nice I couldn't pass it up. The Alumacraft is a well built boat but wasn't as clean, showed heavier use and all in all just didn't seem as right for me despite the awesome add-ons he had.
I can add a better FF and TM for this one. It is sweet. No signs of leaking in any compartment, obviously light use and the engine under the cowling still looked showroom clean. It purred like a big kitten. I will try to add a photo later. Front trim button, tilt wheel, storage step option, three across seating, 70 lb trolling motor that looked as if it had rarely been in the water. Comes with a cover and an extra battery charger for the starting battery (has a double built-in for the trolling batteries) Pretty much every option G3 offers on it. The trailer was 98% as new.
The seller is an 80 year old man who decided it was time for him to stay off the water. He was kind old gentleman.
