It will be a while before you get a chance to find out. I received an email from Russel yesterday, no Solix 15 gen 2's in stock and he doesn't know how soon they will be available again.

Of course I pulled the one I have off the boat Monday, thinking I was going to be shipping it to him this week. Now I need to decide if I want to hook the transponder, etc. back up to use the Solix on the console or just go with the livescope unit on the bow for now.

It's rough talking yourself into spending money for something you don't really need, only to be told that you can't spend the money after all. And when it finally comes back into stock I will probably have to go through the agonizing process of talking myself into spending the money again.

There is always something better just after I buy something. That's a given for me.

But then you know what the Spanish say about "manana". It always today, manana never comes. And since I'm at the age I don't know how many todays I have remaining I've decided to enjoy the days I do have.

More likely is I will have another change of mind before it arrives and decide I don't want it.

What I really want is a fish finder that has a camera so I can actually see the fish swimming around instead of just their image.

I was told last week that these already exist but are for the big commercial deep sea fishermen. I was told it cost more than a fully rigged bass boat so I think I will wait on buying one of those as I'm too cheap to buy a fully rigged bass boat.

What about Go Pro cameras? Know a guy that has used them to see fish.

I tried an underwater camera a couple years ago but Joe Pool was too murky for it to show much. I have another camera that can be used down to 60 feet and will show on an app on a smartphone. I've played with it as well but same problem.

How long can you hold your breath? As you know, I have plenty of rope on the pontoon.
