Depends on the color, stain, and clarity of water as well as time of day vs. sunlight. It’s why you have so many colors in your tackle box to choose from. If fishing all day long, you will change colors. If using crankbaits in spring then summer,,then fall,,you will find changing colors to find what works for you. Not all lakes also will use the same hot color. What might be the hot color in Virginia,,might not be a hot color in Indiana. Be versatile, experiment, and change colors to see what entices the fish to hit as well as change and play with the speed you troll at. What is a hot color one day,,,may not be the hot color the next day also.
