    1 2 and 3 colors . I used a solid one color and then a 2 color .....and even tried a 3 color .
Mind you I was just on a dock at a boat ramp and none of the fish were very large .
But 2 things of importance came into play ....only had an hour and it was kinda on my way home from work
Solid one color seemed to get the most bites , followed closely by the tri color tube .
bi color did ok as well and after 34 fish I hit the trail to the house ....4 pm to 5 pm window .
The really small black crappie liked the tri color , the fair to small whites seemed to like the solid . the bluegill and warmouth bit all 3 in about the same fashion best I can remember .
The smallmouth war crappie was REALLY pretty BTW
I think we should rename them yawl ....just saying
Fish seemed to be somewhat suspended in around 8 foot of water in the shade .
Filled my spool over full before I went and fought it and probably could have topped 50 if it didn't fight me .
Pretty entertaining little fish stop , KABOOM is the word

    Nice catch Ketch!
I had the same experience with trying out different colors this morning. A light pumpkin/light chartese belly combo was too close to the water's color and didn't stand out. Few strikes. But bright chartreuse or a two color laminate (one color black) got sunfish, crappie, y.perch and a 1.5 lb mud catfish! (got a picture of it). Color matters when it comes to the lure being seen from the greatest distance after which lure action is key.

(Gotta try the loop knot vs my usual uni.)
