If you have the room and can stand the weight, I would recommend any crankbaiter who can't afford lithium (like me) to buy Trojan 1275 golf cart batteries and forget about running out of battery power. Your regular charger will work fine with them.
We ran 9 hours with 4 of us in my 3000 pound Excel last week at Grenada with no noticeable power drop.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you can generally count on Paul's vote.
Dive in deep and get some lithiums.
But you've got a 36v system, correct? He's running 24v, which I think is the main issue with his setup.
It probably would have been cheaper for him to have gone with 36v and had the increased capacity of the 3 battery system, whether it was Walmart batteries or the Trojan 1275
Yes, he'll gain more amp hours with the Trojan 1275, which I think is a 150 amp hour rated battery, but I'm afraid that the gain won't be enough for his over-worked 24v system with only 2 batteries.
I haven't seen this asked yet - is the LiveScope being run off of the trolling motor batteries? That was a big addition to your setup.
If the answer is yes, then you need to consider adding a battery dedicated solely to the LiveScope, which may greatly help your issue.
