not likely , its like a human and finger nail bed damage , once it goes past the bed its a most of the time forever scare with a lack of regrowth .

survival is a fleeting moment for that fish is my thoughts
failure to go fast when one needs to will result in loss of prey
and possibly loss of life on the next predator attack as well
its a two edged knife for that poor fishee
