    Default Little bitty babies

The little bitty baby lizards are out and about , August is typically reptile baby month in Texas . So keep them in mind if you can , they are not so fast and pretty fragile .
And so it seems at a few of my spots the same seems true with the fishes . Little bitty baby baitfish are about and they are not fast and somewhat fragile as well .
One thing for certain ,if you follow my adventures it matters not to me if they are small ,medium or large , I go to get bit and to be sure when there is lots of bait nearby there are lots of crappie in the area .
Stopped in to visit my place out in the country and of course had to pitch a jig off the fishing dock . I tried a pretty long bait and got lots of short bites . I cut it down to about half its size and was in business every drop . No large crappie were fooled by me that visit and it was to hot to stay long at noon time , but to be sure 2 dozen plus fish beats nada all day long .
Hopefully it cools down some soon , I am losing interest in cooking outside in this heat this year . At 100 plus and full time sunshine it makes it a real short visit to the water right now . Even in the shade it is pretty not fun getting wetter than water fast as a rabbit in rattlesnake country !

As always, a good story and fish. I’ll never forget the lizards in Thailand. I can remember them changing colors in a heartbeat when the light or shade would hit them. Mind you, I don’t miss them, but they were quiet roommates!

I had to put up with lizards in the service, no problem, they do not bite. Now there was plenty other things that would bite, snakes, huge bugs and firearms. Ouch.

Saw baby snakes this week while running, stopped and observed, then moved on.
