I was Crappie fishing with a 5.5 ft light action rod with 6 lb line. Darn near broke the rod twice just ahead of the reel. About 40 inches and 10 lbs. Twice it bent the rod clear back to about 12 inches ahead of the reel and had to stick it under water a few times when it ran under the boat. Thought it was a walleye until it jumped clear out of the water. Then I though oh crap I'm in trouble. Not a crappie and not a walleye.

I bet that was a fight and a real eye opener when he jumped.

Great catch! Don’t they call them the fish of 10,000 casts?

Yes they do. It must be true because I've been fishing 3-5days a week for about 45 years. I have never targeted muskie but only my second one in the amount of casts I've made in 45 years Flicker Shads also catch...

When bonus game fish like the musky or pike or bass show up on UL crappie tackle (and they do), things get real exciting real quick. Nice job landing those teeth.
