Yes, it does for me, but be sure to treat your socks as well as your pants and shirt. I've been using permetherin since the early 90's and it works. I've watched a tick walk hot footed style on my pants when out turkey hunting. After a short while the tick fell off and stopped moving. My deer lease has chiggers bad, but the permetherin stops them.

If I’m in serious “tick/chigger country”, I wear light colored pants and tuck them into my socks. It looks goofy, but it makes a world of difference.

Spraying clothes with Permethrin adds another layer of defense.

They keep saying that apposum eat a lot of ticks, but around here they are not keeping up, hope they start earning their keep.

Another disease ticks cause is called "Alpha Gal" this disease causes you to have an allergic reaction to mammal meat. Not noticed immediately but several hours after eating you become extremely sick. Ticks are not to be ignored. The dangers they present is quickly evolving, there are numerous studies being done. Check your local health departments to see if any studies in your area. They are always looking for samples to test.

Yup, I've got the Alpha Gal Allergy (Red Meat Allergy) allegedly from a Lone Star Tick bite. Didn't know I'd been bitten, but a couple hours after eating BBQ beef one day I had a bad reaction. Blood test revealed the allergy. After one year I was able to eat pork again (yes, pork is a red meat = four legged hooved animal). I'm still not able to eat beef or lamb, but my numbers have improved. Ticks are nasty!
