I went trolling today and got a beautiful 14"er that hit a Pico crank. Eighteen others couldn't resist the charms of trolling. When I was cleaning the 14"er, the first thing I noticed was what appeared to be bloodlines similar to a white bass, but then I noticed the bloody flesh was wide spread. I thought the fish had some form of hemorrhagic disorder. Then I noticed two black sacs embedded in the flesh. These were removed and examined. They were soft and appeared to be filled with something. I was quickly losing interest in the culinary qualities of this particular fish ! I added the filets to the gut pile. Anyone seen anything like this before?

sounds disgusting , not sure if I ever seen that before , seen a few different odd things in fish but I am not sure about what you experienced .
little black spots yes , red thin worms yes , abscesses yes , scars and some other worms and larvae and different bacterial skin and fin things , but i don't remember any with black sacs of anything in them
