Default Chippewa Lake (Medina County) 7/20/2020

    HI Guys:

Dad and I went out again yesterday, and really had a fantastic time -- we arrived at the Dock about 0930, and except for 1 or 2 other boats we had the lake to ourselves. So we went down to the north end and started casting. IT was really was a great day -- by the end of the day, we had 9 fish, including 2 big bass -- dad got them both -- 1 14 inches, and 1 16 inches. the crappie were nice and fat - - the smallest crappie we have caught at Chippewa lake is bigger than the biggest we have caught at Spencer Lake.

Really fantastic day -- and we had a great time -- not to mention a nice fish dinner last night

mmmm crapppieeeee for dinner. One question as I see you keep the bass, how's the meat on them? they seem to be really mushy especially later in the summer up here.

These were really REALLY good -- Ive run into the same thing down here with some bass but these were fantastic -- not by any means the equivalent of bluegill but very very edible -- we dredge ours in eggwash, then flour, then eggwash and seasoned bread crumbs and fry in corn oil. Works great -- those big guys has some nice fillets on them

Nice catch. If you can make it out during the week it is nice The weekends are nuts with all the jet skis and wakeboarders.
