    Default Shake my spear time

Met up with 2 fellas the other day . One I met Monday and the new one who has quite a few years on me was holding the EXACT same rod I just bought a few weeks ago !
Even had the price tag still on it .
Well let me say this about that , The 2 of us flat hurt the crappie BIG time with those Shake my spear made in china fish stickers .
2 hours of good laughs and the live well had a nice bunch of fish when we departed . He was quiet as a church mouse and very methodic and steady reeling in fish . He loved to cast and reel very slowly and man did we ketch some fish .
One moment in time he casted left and was sitting on a swivel seat and leaned over right to see a slab I just slung in the boat . At that very moment a fish hit his jig so hard .....
It turned him 180 degrees in his seat and almost took the rod out of his hand , don't think I ever seen a better strike from any fish in my life !
What makes it even more memorable is he flat out MISSED the hook set and the fish! we both about cried tears .He said how on earth could I have missed a bite like that ? I said I have not a clue sir but i wish i had that on video , we would be famous .
Sure was fun and I am pretty sure we will get to do it again .
The fish were stacked up like cord wood again in pretty short water about 8 foot deep . If you put anything down there close to the bottom and flicked it a few times they would just flat HAMMER the bait .
Little tiny pieces of brush laid on the bottom placed there by ma nature and its a flat about a quarter mile long . We kept the numbers of kept fish lower at around 40 ,as the captain complained about cleaning to many and the bonus keeper was a beautiful grey tree frog to show my daughter !
good times no doubt and KABOOM is the word

So meeting one good fisherman, has lead you to another. For on the water fishing, has taken a new tern for you. If the one guy blew up your phone with pics and info, might more of the same happen now?

I remember days like this. I am still at bat, but the count is 3 balls and 2 strikes.
