    Default Pulling Crankbaits.

    Hey all,
I am going to try pulling crankbaits for the first time for crappie.
I am leaning toward PICO lures for a purchase.
    My dilemma is color selection!!!!!
I have read here that anything with pink is a good choice.
I know this is a broad question but any help or advise will be appreciated.

A couple dark, a couple light, a couple shiny, and a couple dull.

Then buy a specialmate tacklebox or three that way you can get 3-6 of every color.

My favorites... Geezer Clown, Chrome Clown, Zombie, Bone Orange These are good PICO colors... All of the Pico colors will catch fish tho,
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

Solid pink, solid black, shad white, solid orange, solid chartreuse would be basics IMHO. Combinations of these colors would be a secondary choice.
Oh, and don't just buy 1 of each .... you'll need 3 each at least

You might also consider attending any local Crappie.com camps, as PICO does donate to their giveaway prizes on occasion. And also keep your eyes peeled on the Personal Classifieds forum, as there are occasions when batches of cranks are put up for sale.

Bill Norman that looks a lot like a bandit 300 with a chartreuse body and purple glitter back. One of my best. All black, maybe a hint of pearl belly, in every spread you put out, bright or cloudy day. Bandit mistake is another goodun.

Sounds like this venture is going to raise the price of crappie filets from 30 bucks a pound to 50 bucks a pound. Lol

They will work, have caught them on just about every color produced in bass or Crappie colors.

    How about lipless crankbaits.
Rattle traps, strike king red eyed shad, Sonics???
I have all of those from bass fishing.
Probably won’t use the Sonics since they are almost antiques.
