I live far enough away that I won't be any competition at your fishing spot.

simple stuff , filleted fish strips in an egg bath , rolled in cornmeal and fried in a cast iron skillet in vegetable oil .
warm flour tortillas , shredded lettuce ,slaw mix with no dressing added , avocado salsa (Hernandez) from walmart .
shredded cheese , real avocado , lime if desired , the salsa is already tart and spicy . also used a little wholly guacamole .
not terribly complicated and you can substitute what you want or dont care for ....
we do crisp the shredded lettuce in a bowl of ice and water for an hour and drain it well before using it ....cool trick for sure

Thanks for passing along your recipe.

Our fish tacos kinda similar. We use corn tortillas with melted strips of extra sharp Tillamook cheddar cheese and my wife makes a coleslaw with tiger sauce, otherwise the ingredients are the same.

Like most things, people have their own concoctions, but the bottom line when it comes to fish tacos, they are all delicious!!

try a head of romaine sliced like cookie dough in real thin strips
put it in a large bowl and submerge it in water with lots of ice in the frig for an hour or so
drain the liquid off and the lettuce will be near as crispy as cabbage
a recipe for green chicken enchiladas brought from south of the border that bears zero resemblance to anything here in the US calls for this as an added topper and it is a nice touch
