Lets just say some have a lot of talent and some don't! I ran into a guy that catfishes for his living and he did his lines different than most. Also knew he catching a lot of catfish so I went with him to see how his operation went. Was very different the way he did his lines and pretty much everything, but when we got back there was more surprises from him. He took all his catfish we had just caught and transferred them to a big tub with water on his dock, then he dropped an electrical line in the water that had a big washer on one leg and the other another big metal nut. So I am watching wondering what he's doing? Then he plugged that line in and out then in again and off. All the catfish have been shocked and he said make them easier to filet and that is just what he did. That was the first time I ever saw anyone felet a catfish.

So I did take all these new to me things and much more away from that trip and still use some of them now. No more skinning catfish for me, lol!

it's odd with me, depends on the fish and I don't know what. Some come out with just skeletons left that could go straight to a museum, others looked like Hannibal Lecter himself had a few bites....

But I seem to have experience in both ways and can never tell which I'm going to get on any particular fish
